⚪ Pearl Harbor Survivor Geb Galle's 105th Birthday

Honoring Pearl Harbor Survivor, Gebhard "Geb" Anton Galle turning 105 on July 20th. At just 20 years old during the attack he was on the USS Nevada, the only ship to get away that fateful day. He is one of the last surviving Pearl Harbor veterans and the last known surviving crew member of the USS Nevada who was present during the attack on December 7, 1941. Serving as a machinist's mate, Galle helped keep the battleship operational as it became the only U.S. battleship to get underway during the attack, earning a place in Pearl Harbor history. For decades, he has shared his experiences to honor his shipmates and preserve the legacy of those who served and sacrificed that day.
