Memorial Day Weekend

May 24 - 26, 2025

In partnership with the National Park Service (NPS), the American Legion, and community organizations, PHP is supporting three days of free public programs that honor those who served and sacrificed. Free parking is available for all events.

Join us for a series of powerful, free events honoring the legacy of Pearl Harbor:

  • Live Dive of the USS Arizona – Watch a live-streamed underwater dive of the USS Arizona wreckage. Navy divers, National Park Service experts, and Wounded Warrior Project members will share real-time insights on the historic site and the 1,177 lives lost on December 7, 1941.

  • Guided Memorial Tours – Explore the USS Utah and USS Oklahoma memorials with National Park Service rangers and learn about the ships and crew members lost during the attack.

  • Outdoor Film Screening – Enjoy a free showing of From Here to Eternity (1953), the Oscar-winning film set in the days leading up to the Pearl Harbor attack.

  • Author Talk & Book Signing – Meet WWII scholar Dr. Gail Okawa for a special presentation and signing of her latest work.

Memorial Day is a national day of remembrance honoring the U.S. military personnel who gave their lives in service to our country. It is a time for reflection, gratitude, and recognition of the sacrifices made in defense of freedom.
