PACIFIC HISTORIC PARKS SHARES OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC INPUT ON FUTURE OF FORD ISLAND SITES

HONOLULU (Sept. 9, 2025) – Pacific Historic Parks (PHP), in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS), invites the public to share their input on the future of historically significant sites on Ford Island now through October 4, 2025.
The NPS is developing a Ford Island Sites Management Plan to guide the stewardship of six chief petty officer bungalows and the USS Oklahoma and USS Utah memorials. These important sites commemorate the events and lives forever changed by the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, which led to the U.S. entering World War II.
To support broad engagement, the NPS will host the following opportunities for the public to learn more and provide comments:
