Diamond Head State Monument
One of Hawai’i’s most recognizable landmarks in the world, Diamond Head State Monument is a breathtaking sight witnessed from land, sea, or air. Founded on 475 acres across a 300,000 year-old volcanic crater, the summit at Diamond Head crater is a short, steep hike out of Honolulu and into the clouds. With unparalleled views of O’ahu’s shoreline, Diamond Head is the perfect destination for anyone looking for adventure.

Diamond Head Visitor Center
Located inside the crater, the Diamond Head Visitor Center is open daily from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (closed Dec 25 and Jan 1) for hiking and sightseeing. Non-Hawaii residents must reserve online up to 30 days in advance; please arrive within the first 30 minutes of your time slot to avoid denied entry, as no refunds are issued for late arrivals. To ensure a safe trek, wear sturdy footwear, stay hydrated, and consider carpooling due to limited parking.
